The complexity involved in entering the tenders for large high-speed train projects led Talgo to look for a requirements management tool for their timely monitoring.

One of the main challenges to be solved was to link the client’s initial requirements with the final design responses. Capturing, tracking, analysing and managing changes in the real-time requirements of each of the processes that make up the construction of a high-speed train was another challenge to be solved. And finally, it was necessary to find a tool that met the standards set by the industry and by Talgo’s customers.

What did we do?:

The process of implementing the IBM Doors tool took approximately 3 months. “Although the initial acceptance and performance process took time to mature. However, the revamping of the product development process and the implementation of clear rules in the two years after the initial implementation contributed to a lot of value. A value that continues to bear fruit today,” explains José María Buendía, Project Coordinator at Talgo.
