THE CHALLENGE
One of NAD GLOBAL’s biggest operational challenges was automating invoice processing. Every month, around 200,000 invoices are handled during the customs process. While 90% of these invoices were already automatically integrated using XML or EDI files, the remaining 10% – received in PDF format, often scanned as an image – represented 90% of the operational load of the capture equipment.
What did we do?:
To solve this challenge, Itera and NAD GLOBAL developed an AI-based solution, using Amazon Bedrock to extract key data from the invoices in image, and Amazon Aurora as a database to store and integrate the information into the order system.
The result: a system that transforms hundreds of pages into useful data in a matter of minutes, eliminating manual work and speeding up the entire operational flow.
The results:
Thanks to technology, NAD GLOBAL transformed an operational problem into a competitive advantage. And at Itera, we know that each company has its own 10% pending resolution.
